Amid the COVID -19 outbreak, we hope that all of our Manorville Pet Vet families are remaining safe. Many of you may have seen the previous notice we have posted. We know that New York state guidelines are changing daily. As of now, essential veterinary care includes but is not limited tospay/neuter and, treatment for infectious disease. We would like to remind you that we will be available by phone during normal business hours if you have questions or need help to determine if your pet is in need of emergency care. Our pharmacy including medication refills and prescription diets will remain open during business hours. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and promise to do our best to accommodate your families under these unfortunate circumstances. We hope to be back to regular business operations very soon and promise to keep you updated every step of this process. As a reminder our staff will be using personal protective equipment included but not limited to masks and gloves to protect patients, clients, and staff.

The steady stream of news and information about COVID-19(coronavirus) has impacted all of us. At Manorville Pet Vet, the health of our patients, staff, and community is our number one priority.
As an animal health care provider we are committed to keeping our practice open as long as we can continue to staff. Our goal to provide seamless service for our clients and their pets remains unchanged. To do this this we are implementing the following protocol at Manorville Pet Vet based on the recommendations of the New York State Veterinary Medical Society.
For Any Pet Visits and Dispensed Medication
For all appointments we are requesting that you call from your car upon arrival. At the time of your appointment a staff member will meet you at your car and bring your pet inside. Please ensure your pet is properly restrained for this transition(on a leash or in a carrier). The doctor will then call you and conduct the appointment over the phone. At the conclusion of the appointment the doctor will transfer you to a receptionist, who will conduct the financial transaction over the phone. Cash and checks will be accepted, but credit cards can be processed over the phone. A staff member will then meet you at your car with your pet and if necessary, all dispensed medications.
• Please clean your carrier, leash, and collar as carefully as possible before arrival with an alcohol-based solution.• No personal items can be kept with the pet while hospitalized or boarded; this includes blankets, toys, collars, leashes etc.
Thank you for your understanding and please do not hesitate to call us with any questions. All emergencies will still be seen and as always, handled on a case by case basis. We’re here for you, your pets, and the community in which we live. We will continue to keep you informed of any changes as news and information becomes available. Hopefully these protocols will be short term.
